Litchfield National Park

30th June - 4th July

We stayed on a campground in Litchfield National Park, a very comfortable one. Our main tasks were building tracks and concreting sign poles.
Besides our work we had enough time to swim in every waterhole we could find...

Anne with pole.

A Goanna in front of our waterhole at our campground.

... please come back later...

Brushing the poles.

A Stick Insect on Gary's lovely hands...

A little Lizzard on my arm (also lovely).

Anne and Sara are painting the poles.

An Orb Weaving Spider. Looks dangerous, but is harmless.

At Florence Falls.

Relaxing after work.

Daniel carrying some water for making concrete.

Working in the impressive Lost City.

A Bandicoot at our campground.

View from Tolmer Falls to the wetlands.

A magnetic termite mound. All the mounds are built in north-south direction to get most of the sun during morning and evening.

A huge termite mound.
